A Constructive Dialogue on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

Join the Heterodox Academy (HxA) campus community at the University of Maryland - College Park for a constructive dialogue on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict featuring Harel Chorev, Senior Researcher at the Moshe Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University and Advisor on Palestinian Affairs along with Samer Sinijlawi, Palestinian Political Activist and Chairman of the Jerusalem Development Fund.

Harel Chorev: 

Dr. Harel Chorev is a senior researcher at the MDC and a historian of the Middle East, specializing in the social and political history of the Palestinians. His research combines traditional historical inquiry with empirical tools drawn from Network Theory. In his research he explores the impact of cyberspace on the Middle East, examining issues such as political protest, the formation of individual and collective identities, terrorism, and related phenomena. During 2021 - 2022 (Bennett-Lapid government), he served as an advisor on Palestinian affairs to the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

Samer Sinijlawi: 

Samer Sinijlawi is a Palestinian Political Activist who calls for Palestinian Reforms & Democracy and believes in Israeli-Palestinian dialogue  and coexistence. He serves as as the Chairman of Jerusalem Development Fund. Samer was a head of international and Israeli relations on the Fateh Supreme Committee and was in charge of relations between Fateh and major political parties in Europe and the Arab world as well as in Israel. He has published in NYT, Newsweek, The Atlantic, Le Figaro, Israel Hayoum, and Haaretz.
